SECOND SATURDAY FAMILY FUNDAY: Lumen Photography with Ian Campbell

Ian Campbell, in conjunction with his photography exhibition Refugia, will lead a lumen photo activity for January’s Family FunDay.

Visitors will harness the power of the sun to make camera less photographs with the lumen printing process. Using plants, flowers, and other materials, each participant will have the opportunity to make 1-2 prints. The results are unique and variable, with a range of possible colors that may appear in the final image. This is a fun, user-friendly introduction to analog photography.

Campbell is associate professor of art at Lyon College.

Second Saturday Family FunDay is sponsored by The Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, an affiliate office of the Arkansas Community Foundation, Inc.

ASC’s Second Saturday Family FunDay program offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music, or theater. Activities complement current art or science exhibitions. Activities are always FREE and led by visiting artists, local art educators, and ASC staff.
