 Artists Honored at Rosenzweig Exhibition Opening Reception

The awards for the 2021 Irene Rosenzweig Biennial Juried Exhibition were announced during an awards reception Thursday, July 22. Yelena Petroukhina’s ceramics sculpture Untitled 1 was honored with Best in Show; Nabil Gonzalez’s 15-piece paper set Lost took First Place; and Samantha Rosado’s oil on canvas Golden Hour (¡Gay Creatures Welcome!) took Second Place.

Petroukhina to Lead Ceramics Classes This Summer for Adults, Youths

ASC welcomes artist Yelena Petroukhina to lead adult and youth ceramics workshops June 28–July 5. They include a daytime camp for youths ages 12-17, and an evening workshop for adults. The workshops will be held in the ceramics studio at ASC’s new The ARTSpace on Main facility.

Petroukhina Explores Emotions Toward Personal Spaces in 'Defining Home'

In ASC’s latest exhibition, Yelena Petroukhina explores the complex ideas of home and comfort and incorporates physical, emotional, and spiritual qualities within personal spaces. Defining Home: Mixed Media and Ceramics by Yelena Petroukhina is on view through July 10, 2021. Visitors may meet with the artist to discuss her work during a drop-in reception from 5–7 p.m. Thursday, April 8.
